Another Aspire Flexus device enters the market, boasting a whole host of upgrades and improvements while maintaining compatibility with the incredible Aspire Flexus coils. The Aspire Flexus Blok is a matchbox-shaped MTL & RDTL device that’s impossibly sturdy and houses a massive 1200mAh battery. It’s destined to become your new favourite pod kit! Let’s take a look at the device’s specs.
Aspire just debuted another new device in the Flexus range, featuring the same sturdiness and build quality of the Flexus Q and a whole host of new upgrades and improvements. The Flexus Blok has a lot to boast about, from its massive internal battery size to its numerous quality and safety features. Plus, the new box-style shape lends a whole new feel without taking away from the device’s portability!
It seems Aspire listened to customer feedback on the Flexus Q and responded accordingly. I was so excited to get to test this device after writing the review for the previous kit.
Without further preamble, let’s get into my findings!
The Aspire Flexus Blok Pod Kit is a beginner-friendly MTL & RDTL pod kit that’s ideal for vapers looking for an easy-to-use vape with a long-lasting battery. The device features a sturdy rectangular build, adjustable airflow, dual activation modes (button and auto draw), and a hefty 1200mAh battery.

The Flexus Blok is an incredibly sturdy piece of kit—perhaps one of the sturdiest I’ve ever owned (and as a reviewer, I’ve owned so many vapes)! It appears that everything was considered when constructing the device, from the connection of the pod to the battery—after users had issues with the previous model’s pod connection—to the location and function of the fill port. Even the button itself is expertly constructed.
Truly, I can’t slight the design or build quality on this kit at all.
The Flexus Blok is squat and rectangular, with curved edges and a smooth metallic finish. I received the graphite colour, which has a nice pattern on the battery and stippling beneath the pod to aid in grip. Overall, the Blok sits beautifully in the hand. I’m not usually a huge fan of these block-shaped devices, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how comfortable this one is to hold.

As many of you may know, I’m particularly clumsy. I’m so pleased to report that the Flexus Blok hasn’t suffered a single fall—and I wouldn’t say that’s because of me being any less careless. Rather, the device’s shape simply isn’t conducive to falling over as other pen-style vape kits are, thanks to it being more bottom-heavy and rectangular. This vape stands easily on its own, doesn’t roll around (obviously), and is generally very good at keeping itself upright. I never thought I’d find a vape that was so much less likely to fall, without any help from myself.
The Flexus Blok has a minimal interface, with only a single well-constructed button for operation. With this button, the device can be powered on and off (by pressing 5 times), and the user can also swap between the three available power settings (by pressing 3 times). When changing power settings, the letter ‘A’ in the Aspire logo will flash two times, either green (high), blue (medium), or red (low) to signify the current output level.
During general operation, that same light will glow to signal the device’s battery level, either green (60%-100%), blue (30%-60%), or red (<30%). This system is common among similar single-button pod kits, so I found it very easy to navigate.
Plus, while the device has a button for firing, it also features automatic draw activation, meaning you only have to inhale on the device’s drip tip to vape. I find that my thumb or index finger naturally lands on the button while I’m holding it anyway, but if you prefer to simply vape without pressing a button, this kit offers both options.

One of the biggest upsides to this device is its internal battery, which has a whopping 1200mAh capacity.
I’m a regular (read: constant) vaper, so I didn’t expect the battery to last me very long regardless of its size. Still, even with constant use, I found the Flexus Blok (with a full battery) lasted me two full days. I can’t say that about any other vape kit I’ve used, save for the sub-ohm kits I use, which have large external batteries.
This is definitely a game-changer for those looking for a pod kit with a massive battery.
The device is rechargeable via the USB Type-C charging port located below the button on the side of the device. It comes with a USB-C charger included. The device has 1A charging, which is slightly slower than most 2A charging pod kits currently on the market. Still, the massive battery takes just over an hour to fully recharge from a dead battery to 100%, which isn’t too bad. I’m just slightly confused as to why Aspire limited the device to 1A charging.

As far as performance goes, I was again thoroughly impressed. I haven’t encountered a single hiccup during operation, either with the auto-draw or the button-firing.
My only niggling problem with the device is that the auto-draw isn’t super sensitive when the airflow is all the way open, so if you’re hoping for an RDTL draw, you’ll need to either inhale harder than I do (as an MTL vaper) or use the button to preheat the coil just before inhaling. As I mentioned before, your finger tends to gravitate toward the button while holding it anyway, so this is a very small con in my opinion.

I’ve got a lot to talk about here, so strap in, friends.
The pod is constructed excellently.
Whereas the Flexus Q—the previous model—was plagued with pod connection issues, leading to the pod popping out and being unable to connect to the battery, this device leaves no room for error. The pod has a very strong magnetic connection, plus, it slots into place on the battery, meaning it will never fall out. Essentially, my main (and perhaps only) con for the previous model has been rectified in full, and I’m so happy about that.
The Flexus Blok pod has a lot of handy features, from the adjustable top airflow switch to the side-fill port. It also features a slim cylindrical mouthpiece which evokes the feeling of a cigarette, while still allowing for both an MTL and RDTL draw.
The airflow switch is rather small, located directly beside the mouthpiece on the top of the pod. Because of the size of the switch, there isn’t much room for customisation, so you’re essentially given the choice between a closed airflow (unusable), MTL airflow (middle), and RDTL airflow (open). Still, I find that the airflow settings suit the device’s intended use, so I wouldn’t consider this a negative, per se. And unless you tend to stick the mouthpiece very far into your mouth (hold the crude jokes, please), it’s pretty difficult to accidentally cover the airflow hole.

The slide-to-open side-fill port is also expertly constructed—however, I only learned upon reading the user manual that the device is intended to be refilled while it’s laying on its side. I had intended to write about the fill port being slightly messy in this review, because when filling it while upright, there tended to be a bit of excess E-Liquid bubbling out of the port which required a bit of clean-up.
However, upon refilling it while the device was on its side, I haven’t had that problem. So, make sure you fill it while the device is sideways. This is probably a no-brainer, but I’m a bit thick sometimes.
I will say that I wish there was a latch or a similar mechanism to hold the fill port shut, as I’m slightly nervous to keep it in my handbag knowing that the fill port need only be slid open to ruin the leather inside my bag. While the slide mechanism is quite sturdy and not easily moved, I’ve been burned by these types of fill ports too many times before.

As for the coils, I’ve used these ones before, and I’ve found that they last a lot longer than some of those found in other pod kits. Plus, the fact that the pod utilises changeable coils means that the pods can be made more durable, since they’re not intended to be discarded. This definitely benefits the device.
The Aspire Flexus Coils used in this device are the same as those used in the previous model, the Flexus Q, as well as the new Flexus Stik. They’re sold in packs of 5 and come in two available resistances: 0.6Ω (ohm) and 1.0Ω (ohm). The coils are mesh, meaning they deliver denser flavour than standard coils while still maintaining discreet vapour production appropriate to the MTL and RDTL vaping styles.
Overall, these press-fit coils are really excellent. I find that the 0.6Ω coil delivers slightly more vapour and flavour, so I prefer to use that one with a 50/50 E-Liquid. The 1.0Ω coil creates slightly less vapour, making it perfect for vaping nic salts. You can use either coil with either E-Liquid type, but this is what I’ve found works best for flavour production and throat hit.
Because of the resistance of these coils, you should only be using the device with the high-PG E-Liquid types mentioned above. Using a high-VG E-Liquid, such as a shortfill or 100% VG E-Liquid, will lead to the coils burning and a leaky pod. No bueno.

The Flexus Blok is an excellent choice for any pod kit user who’s looking for a general upgrade—especially if you’ve got battery capacity and durability on your must-haves list.
Because of its ease-of-use, you don’t have to be a tech whiz to operate the Flexus Blok. So, even if you’re an inexperienced vaper, this could still be an excellent choice for you. This is a durable, long-lasting kit with tons of amazing features, so I’d recommend it to any pod kit user.

Overall Rating: 4.5 stars
The Flexus Blok is a wondrous little device, palm-sized and portable yet incredibly durable and strong. A vast improvement upon the previous model, this lovely little device redefines what pod kit vaping can be: it can be easy-peasy and low-maintenance, while still being incredibly strong and well-built.
The device retails for £29.99, and given the build quality, I’d rank this among one of the strongest, least destructible pod kits on the market right now. So, if you’re clumsy like me, or you’re just looking for an upgrade from your inexpensive pod kit model, the Flexus Blok is where it’s at.
Aspire have really outdone themselves with this stellar little kit.
