OXVA has released a version of their best-selling OXVA Xlim pod device with changeable coils: the OXVA Xlim C. Let’s take a look at the new device and see how it holds up to scrutiny!
The OXVA Xlim C Pod Kit is the latest model in the Xlim series, equipped with a 900mAh internal battery and the new Xlim C changeable coils. The Xlim C is both button and auto-draw activated, offering both MTL & RDTL vaping styles. The device comes included with an attachable fabric lanyard for portability.

The OXVA Xlim and the Xlim SE took the vape world by storm this year, offering an easy-peasy blast of delicious flavour with a minimal interface and a sleek, no-fuss design. Deemed a massive rival to the ever-popular Uwell Caliburn series, the Xlim pod kit made waves quickly across the globe and became one of our best-selling devices almost overnight.
Still, the Xlim and the Xlim SE had one minor fault: they didn’t offer a changeable coil option for vapers who prefer swapping coils instead of pods (even the Caliburn series has a device that uses changeable coils).
Then came the Xlim C, which delivers exactly that.
The OXVA Xlim C offers all the same ease-of-use as the other devices in the OXVA Xlim series, but the option of changeable coils means your replacement parts will last longer and maintenance is better for the planet, since you’re not discarding a piece of plastic every few days.
Eco-conscious and financially-strapped vapers will appreciate the C for its combined practicality and beginner-friendly features. Plus, the device is ultra-portable and comes with an attachable fabric lanyard.
Weighing just 40g fully assembled, the Xlim C is a sleek little wonder of modern vape technology. With just a single button and an adjustable airflow switch on one side, there is little to configure and even less to maintain.
Let’s get into my impressions of the device!
There isn’t much to the device, but what it has is practically gleaming with polish. I received the Gradient Blue colour for this review, and it’s even more vibrant in person than it appears online—I swear!
The slim (ha!), pen-shaped device has curved edges for a smooth grip. On the front, you’ll find the fire button emblazoned with OXVA’s “X” logo, which has a light behind it that glows either red, blue, or green to signify the device’s current battery level.
On the side of the device, you’ll find the adjustable airflow switch, and on the bottom sits the USB Type-C charging port. The OXVA logo sits just above the charging port on the front of the device, and on the side, you’ll find “Xlim C” printed below the airflow switch.

The device comes with an attachable lanyard, which comprises a strong rubber band that can be stretched around the body of the device. You can attach the included branded fabric lanyard from OXVA, which says “vaping reimagined,” or you can attach your own lanyard (your choice)!
The rubber band is an interesting way to affix the lanyard, and it’s something we saw a lot of at the Birmingham Vaper Expo in October this year, particularly for vapers carrying around disposables. Regardless, I appreciate the added portability that the lanyard offers.

That’s about it when it comes to the design—very few fancy features or design elements, yet the Xlim C looks ritzy and stylish nonetheless.
It’s a pleasure to hold, not much of a fingerprint magnet, and it’s one of the most lightweight models I’ve ever used. All in all, I have no notes about the device's build quality or design other than to say bravo!
The OXVA Xlim C has an incredibly minimal interface, with nought but a button to access its functionality.
The fire button can be used to power the Xlim C on or off (by pressing 5 times), to lock the button (4 presses), and to switch between the three available power output modes (3 presses). More information on using the fire button can be found in the user manual.
Otherwise, the airflow adjustment switch allows you to tailor your vape from a loose RDTL-style inhale to a tight, warm MTL draw, all with a simple switch adjustment.
In some other models, I’ve found the airflow adjustment switch to be flimsy and easily moved—but on the Xlim C, this isn’t the case. The switch is sturdy and stable and stays exactly where you set it, which is nice for me as a tight MTL vaper. There’s nothing worse than a flimsy airflow adjustment on a vape when you like your draw a little more restricted.
Overall, the Xlim C’s interface is unobtrusive and easy, with few settings and even fewer bells and whistles.

This is where the Xlim C beats the Caliburn series by a landslide. Uwell, take note: OXVA has definitely won this one.
The Xlim C comes equipped with a built-in 900mAh battery, which can be quickly recharged in roughly 30 minutes via the supplied USB Type-C cable. In contrast, most of the models in the Caliburn series have a 520mAh battery (up to 850mAh in more expensive models).
The Xlim C’s battery usually lasts me (a very frequent vaper) roughly half a day before needing a recharge. I generally recharge it once or twice a day. For the average vaper—one who doesn’t vape all day every day—I’d estimate that the vape’s battery should last you at least a full day before it’ll need a recharge.

My husband uses the Xlim SE—the previous model—as his everyday vape, and one thing I’ve noticed is that the battery is almost always on red. The previous model took much longer to charge than the Xlim C, so it’s really nice to see the new model with a faster charging speed.
If you’re looking for an affordably priced vape with a decent-sized battery and a quick recharge time, you’ll love the Xlim C. It’s one of the biggest highlights of the device for sure.
So far with the Xlim series, we’ve yet to see changeable coils, so it was a nice treat to get to try these for the first time.
Overall, I was really wowed by the flavour and longevity in the Xlim C coils.
In comparison to the Caliburn G coils, the Xlim C coils provide a more consistent flavour in the long term and they last longer overall by a long shot (by several days to a week). When using the Caliburn G coils, the flavour is extra strong for about 2 days before the taste begins to drop off—whereas with the Xlim C coils, the flavour doesn’t start out as strong, but stays consistent through the entire life of the coil.
The first coil I tried was the 0.8Ω (ohm) coil, and this lasted me two whole weeks before the flavour started to wane. This might be the best coil life I’ve ever gotten out of a pod kit.
When it comes to the pods, I definitely prefer the top-fill system of the Caliburn devices, as the side/bottom-fill on the Xlim C pods is fiddly and not as accessible. Still, the Xlim C pods have a really nice, ergonomic shape overall and I haven’t experienced a single drop of leakage yet—something once considered inevitable when vaping a pod kit.
Overall, I’d rank the pods and coils for the Xlim C equal to or above those for the Caliburn series, which is really saying something, as the Caliburn series is the best-selling pod system to ever hit the vape market.

Vaping the Xlim C is an absolute breeze. Simply fill the pod, let it sit and saturate in the juices for a few minutes, and vape away. It’s really that easy!
The auto-draw sensor has a hair-trigger, with seamless firing and absolutely zero lag. And with no leaking or faults at all thus far, I find it really difficult to name a single qualm with the Xlim C.
The device offers both button-firing and auto-draw activation depending on your preference, and you can even lock the fire button (and keep on using the auto-draw function) if you only intend to use the inhale activation. This is a really neat feature I appreciate in the Xlim C.
All in all, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about vaping the Xlim C.
Each of these three devices has a unique feature that sets it apart from the others, while all three maintain the same shape and form factor and the same great features, like auto-draw activation and adjustable airflow.
OXVA has done a great job at reinventing the same device to suit different vapers’ preferences. For those who love a buttonless, hassle-free vape, the OXVA Xlim SE is the way to go. If you like to adjust your wattage but still like a built-in coil in your pod, you’ll love the OXVA Xlim V2. And if you prefer to use changeable coils, of course, you should pick up the Xlim C.
Each of these devices is equally stellar in its own rite, and the one you choose will come down to which features you prefer.
If you love an easy-peasy pod kit with delicious flavour and minimal maintenance, you should absolutely get the Xlim C.
In truth, I can’t really think of anyone this device wouldn’t suit, aside from those looking for an advanced/sub-ohm vape kit (as the Xlim C isn’t capable of sub-ohm). Generally speaking, anyone looking for a great MTL vape will love the Xlim C.
As always, I like to ensure I’ve included accessibility information for those with disabilities—so it’s important to note that if you have impaired mobility or dexterity in your hands, you may have some issues accessing the fill port on the Xlim C.

Still, I think the vape is usable for those with these problems, though accessing the fill port to refill the pod may take you slightly longer than it would for most people. If you’re looking for an equally great vape with a more accessible fill port, I’d recommend taking a look at the Caliburn series.

This may be one of the shortest cons lists I've ever come up with—but I truly had so little negative feedback for this incredible device!

Overall Rating: 4.77 stars
All in all, the OXVA Xlim C is an incredible little pod device offering perfect functionality, very little maintenance, and truly unparalleled flavour, all from a sleek and minimal body. The decent battery capacity coupled with the fast-charging capabilities make this device a true rival to the Caliburn series—if not better overall!
I’ve truly loved my time using the Xlim C, and I can’t wait to see what OXVA comes out with next!

The Xlim C supports high-PG E-Liquids, which includes both 50/50 vape juices as well as Nicotine Salts.
We do not recommend using high-VG E-Liquids like shortfills in your Xlim C.
