The new Solobar Boost 30K just hit the UK market, with 2 interchangeable flavours offering up to 30,000 puffs in one convenient package. Let’s take a closer look at this handy new prefilled pod vape!
Once upon a time, Vapeman Solo Bars were among the best-selling disposable vapes in the UK alongside the Elf Bar 600 and the Lost Mary BM600.
After a scuffle with UK authorities over some misfiled paperwork, the vapes were pulled from the shelves, and even after their triumphant return (and full legality), they never regained the level of popularity they had at their peak.
Now, following the UK disposable vape ban, a new vape has emerged from the Vapeman Solo’s ashes: the Solobar Boost 30K. This prefilled pod vape has a magnetic design and comes with two 2ml prefilled pods, plus two corresponding 10ml refill containers to attach to said pods—bringing the total E-Liquid volume to a whopping 24ml.

The pods, once attached to their refill containers, can be magnetically connected and swapped out from the battery at will.
We expect a huge rush for these vapes, as diehard UK vapers will recall the legend of the Vapeman Solo bar.
So, after trying the new vape myself, I’ve got some things to say—plenty of well-deserved praise, but a few notable cons as well. Let’s dive in!

I received the Yellow Edition Solobar Boost 30K vape for this review. I had my choice of flavours, and I’m a sucker for both tropical and lemon flavours, so I went with the Yellow Edition.
The Solobar Boost 30K is a hybrid between a big puff vape and a prefilled pod vape, much like the other devices hitting the market of late. Importantly, it’s rechargeable, and the pods are replaceable, so it’s fully legal under the new UK laws.
The vape houses a 800mAh battery, rechargeable via the USB-C port on the bottom of the battery area. The kit doesn’t include a charging cable, but you can purchase one separately or use one you already have lying around.
The stocky little Solobar Boost 30K, when attached to a prefilled pod, has a sleek and boxy build. The battery section has a neat exposed circuitry design, and the prefilled pods are colour-coded for every flavour.
The vape has a really simple interface: there’s a button on the front, which—when pressed twice—allows you to swap between Normal and Boost modes.

Confusingly, Boost mode is a lower wattage (10W) than Normal mode (20W). I guess you’re technically “boosting” the puff count, but I really thought Boost would offer the higher wattage. It wasn’t until a closer inspection of the interface (after about a day of use) that I noticed the wattage difference. That’s mostly on me for not looking very closely.
The display houses a 2-digit battery percentage indicator, plus the slightly convoluted modes display. Both the button and the screen glow in a series of neat rainbow colours when active—though truthfully, the light is super bright. This isn’t a vape for a dark room unless you fancy a light show.
Assembly is super easy. Open up the box and remove everything from the plastic bags inside. For each pod, remove the long silicone piece from the coil, remove the cap from the corresponding refill container, then insert the coil into the refill container and snap it into place. Remember to remove the silicone plug from the mouthpiece and the plastic sheet from the front of the pod. Voila! Snap that bad boy onto the battery and you’re all set.

There’s a small rubbery loop on top of the battery section for you to add a lanyard, but I don’t expect anyone will use it.
The draw is a bit tighter than I’d like, to be honest, though standard disposable users will likely be happy. I think this vape would be a ten out of ten if only the draw was adjustable.
The vape is sleek, super easy to operate, and the flavours are great.
Speaking of the flavours…

The Lemon Lime flavour prefilled pod for the Solobar Boost 30K is positively sublime. Sweet, zingy, and slightly cool, it has the perfect balance of flavour notes for fans of citrus flavours. It’s sweet, but not the kind of sweet that gives you a headache after 20 puffs, and there’s a sort of underlying richness to the flavour that’s really nice.

I wasn’t huge on the Pineapple Ice flavour, mainly because it doesn’t taste like the other pineapple vape flavours I’ve tried (and enjoyed). It’s a bit heavy on the rich sweetness, light on the ice, and the actual pineapple notes are quite muted. That being said, this is definitely a personal preference issue for me, and I’m sure fans of tropical flavours will love it.

As with all puff counts on vapes, the answer is no—it won’t actually give you 30,000 puffs. We’ve covered this in depth in another article: Are “Puff Counts” Accurate?
In essence, the puff counts you see advertised on vapes are generally exaggerated and are decided by the manufacturer. We usually tell our customers that a good rule of thumb is to take the advertised puff count and cut it in half to get a more accurate idea of real-world use.
So, in the case of the Solobar Boost 30K, you’re realistically more likely to get about 15,000 puffs out of the device—though if your puffs are longer than a second, this number will be lower.
This is because the puff counts in vapes are machine-measured using very short puffs lasting less than a second, when in reality, most people take puffs lasting longer than a second (sometimes two seconds or more).
The manufacturer takes the average puff generated by their machines and rounds it up to the nearest hundred to get their advertised puff count.
For this reason, puff counts are merely estimates and are not guaranteed.
Overall, I really enjoyed using the Solobar Boost 30K vape, and though the Pineapple Ice flavour wasn’t the best I’d ever tried, the Lemon Lime flavour was absolutely delicious.
I love the easy assembly, the cool design, and the magnetic connection feature—it was all super cool!
If you’re looking for an easy-to-use big puff vape following the disposable vape ban, or you’re just looking to try something new, I highly recommend checking out the Solobar Boost 30K!
