The Zap! Instafill disposable vape just debuted with an interesting workaround to TPD regulations. With 10ml of 20mg E-Liquid, a rechargeable battery, and up to 3500 puffs, I just had to try it to see what all the fuss was about!
The Zap! Instafill is a brand new disposable vape boasting up to 3500 puffs thanks to a nifty auto-refill mechanism. Plus, the Zap! Instafill disposable is more sustainable than your average disposable, making use of a rechargeable 500mAh battery that can be removed and recycled at any battery recycling point once the vape is finished.
I was given two of these bad boys to try for myself. So, without further ado, let’s get into the device and my impressions to help you find your new go-to!
The Zap! Instafill is a disposable vape designed with a workaround to the 2ml volume limit on disposable vapes in the UK.
Whereas your average Elf Bar has 2ml of liquid, isn’t rechargeable, and can provide up to 600 puffs, the Zap! Instafill is fitted with a 10ml bottle of 20mg (2%) salt nic liquid and a 2ml auto-refill pod delivering up to 3500 puffs. Plus, it’s rechargeable, and when the device is finished, you can easily remove the battery to recycle it at your local drop-off point.
Onto the pressing question: how can it be 10ml? Interestingly, the rules around big puff disposable vapes and volume limits in the UK mean that a bottle of nicotine-containing E-Liquid can be no more than 10ml, and a pod or tank can hold no more than 2ml of liquid.

Onto the pressing question: how can it be 10ml? Interestingly, the rules around big puff disposable vapes and volume limits in the UK mean that a bottle of nicotine-containing E-Liquid can be no more than 10ml, and a pod or tank can hold no more than 2ml of liquid.
The Zap! Instafill works around these regulations by having a 10ml bottle of liquid that you install in the device. Once you’ve slotted it in, you hold the device upside down and press and hold the button on top, which fills the 2ml pod. When the pod runs low, simply flip and press again. It’s as easy as that—and it’s TPD-approved!

I personally think this model is ingenious. Not only do you get more bang for your buck—it’s also rechargeable, allowing you to use every last drop in the E-Liquid bottle.
Plus, the Zap! Instafill is far more sustainable than your average disposable vape, since the battery can be recharged and recycled. The battery in the Zap! Instafill is no bigger than the one in your standard puff bar, but the fact that it’s being recharged and reused before disposal helps cut back on electrical waste and saves perfectly good batteries from going to landfill.
Assembly is easy-peasy. The device comes with an instruction manual to help you get it set up. You can see my little instructional videos below.

First, you remove the battery, then remove the tape and insert it back into place. I had to use my nails to get the battery compartment open.
Next, remove the bottom cap on the device. Unscrew the cap from the E-Liquid bottle and remove the rubber nozzle.
Then, insert the bottle into the device in a screwing motion. You can use the bottle cap to tighten the bottle in place. Replace the bottom cap and ensure it clicks into place. (Yes, I fumbled a bit here. I'm very clumsy.)
Now, tilt the device at a downward angle. Press and hold the button on top to fill the pod.
Let the pod sit in the E-Liquid for at least 30 seconds before you vape—otherwise, you risk burning the coil. I learned this the hard way. Don’t attempt to press the button when the pod is already full, as this can cause leaking inside the device.
I was given my choice of two flavours to try. I picked Red Fuel and Blue Sour Razz.
I absolutely love the flavours I got. They’re definitely disposable flavours: strong and sweet with that ever-present hint of ice.
All in all, I’ve been really impressed with the Zap! Instafill. The airflow is wider than your average Elf Bar—just slightly airier than the SKE Crystal Bar—which allows for big plumes and tons of flavour.
I do wish there was an adjustable airflow option, but honestly, for £12.99 (or 2 for £25), there’s absolutely nothing to complain about. The Zap! Instafill is an excellent little vape, price or not.
Plus, the coil is mesh, which means extra surface area for vaporising the E-Liquid. This means extra flavour and extra vapour.

The battery lasts as long as your average disposable, but luckily, this one is rechargeable. What’s great about this (besides saving on battery waste) is that you can use the vape right up until the E-Liquid bottle is empty.
And right as the 10ml bottle runs out, the coil reaches the end of its lifespan and starts to degrade, so you’ll never have to experience a burnt out coil.
On the first vape—the Red Fuel flavour—I made the mistake of vaping it straight away and got a mouthful of burnt vapour. Gross. From then on, while the flavour was great, the coil wasn’t the best. It flooded itself and gurgled a bit, but I think that’s my fault for being so eager to try it. Word of advice: let the thing sit for a minute before you start vaping it!
With all that being said, I’ve had no issues on the second vape. I learned from my mistake the first time around, and it’s been brilliant. The flavour lasts, the battery life is as expected, and the taste is just exceptional.
Honestly, it’s a great device all around. I have no qualms. I would recommend this to any disposable vape user looking for more bang for their buck. You refill with the press of a button, and all it needs is an occasional recharge. Plus, it’ll last you 5 times longer than a standard disposable vape will.
I absolutely love the Zap! Instafill and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Whether you’re a new vaper looking for an easy entry into vaping, a disposable vaper looking for something more cost-effective and eco-friendly, or a regular vaper who needs something more substantial than a standard disposable to take with them on the go, the Zap! Instafill is perfect.
I can only comment on the Red Fuel and Blue Sour Razz flavours, but they were absolutely fantastic.
