Shortfills come in a 0mg nicotine strength, allowing you to add nicotine shots to tailor your strength to suit your preferences.
Generally speaking, when vaping sub-ohm, it's ill-advised to vape any strengths above 6mg. This is because the throat hit can be harsh, and it can be more taxing on your coils. Most sub-ohm vapers prefer to vape a 3mg nicotine strength (or, they just keep it at zero).
If you're looking to add some nicotine to your shortfill E-Liquid, read on!
We usually recommend purchasing one 18mg nic shot for a 50ml shortfill, or two 18mg nic shots for a 100ml shortfill.
If you're looking for slightly less nicotine, you can opt for 9mg nic shots instead to create 1.5mg strengths.
To add a nic shot to your shortfill, you'll need to remove both the outer lid and the inner cap on the shortfill bottle. To remove the inner cap, you may need to use a bottle opener, or ask a member of your household to help you. We stock a specialty Shortfill Bottle Opener Tool on our website for those who are struggling to open the bottles.

Inside, you should see just enough space for the 10ml nic shot(s).
To add the nic shot to your shortfill, we recommend removing the nib on top of the nic shot bottle. Exerting too much pressure on the nic shot without removing the nib can result in the nib popping off while you squeeze, which can lead to the nib falling into the shortfill (as well as a mess that's not fun to clean up).
Once you've removed the nib, simply pour the nic shot into your shortfill. Once you've done that, replace the inner cap on the shortfill bottle, ensuring that it's fitted tightly to avoid any leakage.
Once sealed, hold the shortfill bottle with your forefinger over the opening on the nib and shake vigorously. You'll need to shake the bottle for at least 30–60 seconds to ensure it's properly mixed.
For best results, allow the shortfill to sit and steep for an hour. This will give the E-Liquid plenty of time to settle.
Ta-da! You've done it!
